CIBTAC Level 3 Certificate in Anatomy, Physiology and Pathology
This course will provide you with all of the necessary underpinning knowledge of anatomy and physiology to enable you to understand the human body and its structures and functions. The basis of all confident and competent therapy treatments lies in a complete knowledge by the Therapist of the anatomical structures and systems in the area to be treated, and an understanding of how they will be affected by treatment application.
You will be able to:
Have the understanding of anatomy, physiology and pathologies
Identify when and how a Client may be contra-indicated to treatment
Know when you might safely and confidently apply all complementary therapy treatments.
Career pathway
This qualification provides the Learner with all of the necessary foundation underpinning knowledge required of Anatomy, Physiology and Pathology in relation to Complementary Therapies.
It also provides greater understanding and awareness of the symptoms, causes and restrictions of less common pathologies, diseases and disorders - ensuring the therapist understands when not to treat. Learners may wish to progress on to Level 4 beauty and aesthetic courses.
Entry Level requirements
Entry requirements- None, however it is preferable for the candidate to have GCSE Mathematics and English A*-C or equivalent.

Structure, function, growth, repair and pathologies of the hair, nails and skin
Foundation knowledge of the Systems including Skeletal system, Muscular system, Nervous system, Endocrine system, Respiratory system, Cardio vascular system, Lymphatic system, Excretory system, reproductive system.
